Tips To Make Your Orlando Vacation More Enjoyable
I can recommend all of the theme parks as an Orlando vacation devotee, but were you aware that the area is full of other excellent visitor attractions? There are enough museums, markets, shops, art galleries and more in Orlando to keep the most ‘hard to please’ person busy. Whilst a vacation here has been popular for many years now, the reason to visit continues to grow as the number of facilities and attractions increases.
Orlando is a welcoming place that offers people a wide choice of clubs, shopping malls, bars and clubs. It is easy to stay occupied on an Orlando vacation at anytime of the year so only a few of the lesser know visitor attractions are mentioned here.
Starting out as a Sanford Fire Department collection the Central Florida Zoological Park zoo is home to more than 400 animals. Started for the preservation of exotic animals the zoo has a charity status.
It is also possible to see a large collection of the works of Louis Tiffany at the Museum of American Art over in Winter Park. The famous chapel interior commissioned for the World’s Columbian Exhibition back in 1893 is also here along with many items of Tiffany jewelry, leaded glass, ornaments and clayware.
Not chiefly created for children’s amusement Orlando is certainly a city for all ages since adult attractions and family attractions are just about equal in numbers. There is an abundance of night life when you vacation in Orlando with a wide range of restaurants, bars, street entertainment and clubs.
Another of the major attractions is the Orlando Science Center. It’s the biggest of its kind in the Southeast with its four-story center. It offers visitors a glimpse from the dry plains of Mars to the Florida swamplands to the dry plains of Mars with 10 exhibit halls. For trolley and train enthusiasts there is the International Trolley and Train Museum (ITTM). This place houses fourteen model trains that run throughout the building and actually houses a working waterfall.
Home to the Titanic Exhibition on International Drive the Mercado Center is the where you are treated like you are ACTUALLY traveling onboard the Titanic; this is a really eerie experience and includes original objects from the Titanic. In the heart of downtown away from all the business is the Lake Eola Park. Over forty acres of beautiful sidewalks where you can spend a few hours of peace.
How could anyone possibly visit Orlando without a visit to one of it’s famed theme parks? For people that dislike sitting around on a beach then a vacation in Orlando is ideal although there are certain times during the year when it is much busier than others.
