Antigua – Places To Go, Things to Do

by David Hughes

Are you looking to have an exhilarating getaway this year? Well, head off to Antigua! Antigua is the main Leeward Island. It is closely linked to Britain and has 365 gorgeous beaches.

With a rich culture and traditions, Antigua has a lot to offer to its tourists. Well-known for having the finest hotels in the world, your trip to Antigua will surely be unforgettable as well as packed with things to do. The calypso bands, music, overpowering sights, and amazing sunsets all make a wonderful package for you to appreciate on your Antigua holiday. Antigua is overflowing with resorts and restaurants at every spot, and offers excellent nightlife.

The island of Antigua is a magnificent mixture of coral, limestone, and volcanic rock. Due to this, you will find rainforests and picturesque mountain ranges, as well as crystal waters here. Its sister island Barbuda adds to its significance even more.

First on the ‘must-see’ list should be the English Harbour National Park area. It includes Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley Heights. These are wonderful spots of the island’s history.

On Sundays particularly, go to Shirley Heights for an amazing time. You can get in touch with Safari companies to take a trip of the veiled ruins and old-fashioned villages of the island’s remarkable centre. However, if you want to drive by yourself, do remember to go by rainforest trail called Fig Tree Drive, Betty’s Hope. You can also take a day trip to Barbuda from Antigua, and enjoy twin trips.

Luxury Family Travel

by Heerlijke Vakanties

The economy is in shambles, but luxury family travel expenditure is on the rise. Luxury travel allows people to leave their worries behind and enjoy their little slice of paradise.

In this article, we look at a couple pointers for an excellent luxury family vacation. There are some things to pay attention to, so do your homework before you go!

When traveling abroad, be sure to check if you will be needing any shots before going. Some African, South American and Asian countries require it.

If you want to take any pets with you, plan a long time ahead. It’s an arduous task to take animals abroad and it can take quite a while to get everything sorted out.

Be sure that you select an accommodation that is spacious enough and that provides all the amenities you will need. Your room or luxury vacation house is a great starting point for an excellent luxury vacation. If you’re not sure about anything at all, call ahead and check up.

It’s always a plus to have people around that speak your language. If you’re travelling in the United States, that won’t be a problem. But if you’re squeezing into the silver tube to go to distant lands, you should pick up a little booklet to get the gist of the language.

Planning ahead and good preparation are key to having an excellent luxury vacation. A little preparation goes a long way, and it gives you the pleasure of a worry free vacation.

Inexpensive Summer Holiday in Asia

by Robert M Freeman

This summer, pack up your swimsuit and suntan lotion bottle, and plan an inexpensive holiday to Bali – a jewel in the Indian Ocean.

In the 1930s, Bali became a hotspot for surfers, who came in from all over the world to ride the magnificent waves around the island. Since then, Bali has been a surfing spot worth visiting, with beaches that go on forever and weather that is wonderful all year round.

Because of the size of the island you will never have to look extensively to locate ideal surfing conditions, and the diversity in the surf also provides many alternatives for both veteran and fresh surfers. With its exceptional position in the Indian Ocean, the swells are magnificent year round, and are wonderful if you are looking to get in some off-season surfing.

The greatest time to stopover on the island is in July, as it is the time when water is cool and the skies are clear. From December to March there is more rain as the rainy season sets in, and so the surfing conditions are preferable on the eastern side of the island.

Medewi Beach is a wonderful surfing spot for inexperienced surfers, with restaurants next to the coast providing a substitute to surfing. Kuta Beach is good for newcomers as there are various surfing schools here that you can sign up with for lessons. You can also hire or purchase equipment on this beach. Dreamland is another surfing beach where all types of surfers will find themselves taking pleasure in the swell. Balangan is another fun beach for new surfers, with less competition and the possibility to score more waves.
