If so, there is a good chance that you will be flying out of the Louisville International Airport. The Louisville International Airport is known as being one of the area?s best airports, not only when it comes to offering service, but when it comes to offering low-cost travel options. For that reason, if you haven?t already picked an airport to fly out of, you will want to examine the Louisville International Airport and everything that it has to offer.

Although it is a legitimate concern, you do not have to be worried. You will find that the Louisville International Airport is serviced by a large number of well known airlines. Those airlines include American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Midwest Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express, and US Airways. Essentially, this means that wherever you are headed, you should be able to find the flight that you are looking for, whether that flight be non-stop or not.

When it comes to flying in or out of the Louisville International Airport, the airport security follows all rules implemented by the Department of Transportation (DOT), as well as the Transpiration Security Administration (TSA). This means that on all domestic and international flights, sharp objects and liquids are banned from your carryon luggage. However, most items, with the exception of flammable or explosive items, are permitted in your checked baggage. Since problems may arise, it is advised that you arrive at the airport, at least, one or one and half hours in advance. If you are scheduled to fly internationally, it is advised that you arrive even earlier, just in case.

As with all other international airports, the Louisville International Airport requires that you have the proper forms of identification. These items are needed before you are allowed to board your flight. It is important to know that these documents tend to vary from those required for domestic flights. Depending on which airline you are traveling with and where you are headed, you may also need to supply your passport, your visa, your birth certificate, or a certificate of citizenship. You are advised to check with your airline to determine which documents are required.

When it comes to parking at the Louisville International Airport, you will find that you have a number of options. If you will be leaving for an international destination, but you need to leave your vehicle behind, you can do so at the numerous long-term parking lots. In addition to long-term parking lots, there are also short-term lots available. If you are being dropped off at the airport by someone who plans on helping you get inside, they can use the short-term parking lots for a reasonable fee. When it comes to paying for parking, the Louisville International Airport accepts, cash, most credit cards, and checks.

The above mentioned information should have been enough to supply with you what you need to know, but if you are looking for more information, you can do so online. You are encouraged to examine the Louisville International Airport?s online website.

You might have heard about the luxurious and fascinating experiences you could have on an Australian cruise. However, you might not have a good idea of what a cruise really has to offer. Here are some of the activities you might experience during an Australian cruise.

Have you ever thought about a cruise that would let you enjoy the most luxurious surroundings while encountering unusual wildlife, SCUBA diving, fishing, hiking and even seeing sharks in their natural habitat?

Take advantage of the sun deck, ship’s lounge, al fresco bar, and forward observation lounge. You’ll be able to see useful and interesting information on the ship’s plasma screens, and communicate conveniently with the world outside via Internet cafe.

Enjoy the best wines that the McLaren Vale has to offer as well as a fantastic seafood lunch, full of local treasures. Then, return to the ship for a short journey to Kangaroo Island itself. Called one of the last unspoilt refuges on Earth, this island has a lot to offer.

Choose a cruise that offers multiple expedition boats, allowing you to do what you want, when you want to do it. Some boats, like the Kimberly True North, even sail with their own helicopter!

There’s plenty to do on Kangaroo Island, including wildlife walks, night excursions, and tours. You can ask the cruise director for advice about the best activities for you. Then, move on to a great adventure!

Talk to your travel agent or the cruise staff to help you arrange other activities before and after the cruise. They’ll be knowledgeable about accommodations, sights to see, and lots more you can do before and after you take your cruise.

Consider having fresh sashimi caught that morning, local wine, or even a tutorial from the chef on how to prepare local crab!

The next day, visit Coffin Bay, an area filled with tranquil waters and brilliant beaches. The national park means there’s a lot of amazing wild beauty to be seen.

Anglers will enjoy the many fishing options available on board Australian cruises. Many delicious species of fish can be caught in these waters, and guides are available with the expertise to help anyone on a fishing excursion. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or an old hand – there’s someone to help you catch your fish.

For non-anglers, snorkeling, diving, nature walks and more are available. There are miles of national forests and nature preserves to explore, fascinating native animals to see, and lots of breathtaking scenery. Or, take a break to enjoy a picnic with the crew on the beach side.

For an adventure in luxury, Australian cruises are a great choice. If you’re looking for something a little different, why not consider one of these amazing trips. You’ll be astonished at the beauty and luxury available on Australian cruises.

by Brooklyn Sterritt

Going on a family cruise with a young baby can be a wonderful trip. We know because we just came back from a Caribbean cruise with our 10 month old daughter.

Planning for your trip is essential. There are so many things to consder and travel with a baby means that you need to pack more than you would without a baby. Here are the things that we thing you absolutely have to have when going on a cruise with a young baby.

1. Number one on our list is a comfortable stroller. Comfort for your baby is important – but it also important that the stroller can be folded so that it can be taken on an airplane and so that it won’t take up too much room in your cruise ship cabin. Our stroller was in constant use from morning to night. We walked our daughter on the promenade deck every morning; we took our daughter to all of our meals in her stroller; we didn’t want to miss out on the night-life on the ship – so every evening after dinner we bathed our daughter, dressed her in pyjamas, and then placed her back into her stroller. We then walked the ship with her, went to some clubs on the ship with her and before long she would fall fast asleep.

2. Diapers. Make sure that you pack enough disposable diapers. The way that I figured out how many to take was to the week before our trip I kept track of how many diapers our girl went through each day to get an idea of how many diapers are needed per day. Based on that calculate how many are required during the vacation. We didn’t purchase the diapers at home. We had time between our flight arrival in Ft Lauderdale and the time to board the ship so we took a cab to a Target store and purchased them and some other supplies before getting another taxi to the ship. That way we didn’t have to carry them onto our airplane.

3. One thing to do on a cruise ship – especially when it is hot is to go to the kiddies pool with your child and cool off in the pool. In order for your child to go into the pool they have to wear swim diapers or they have to be toilet-trained.

4. Our baby is on formula so we brought on board with us enough formula for the cruise. We opted to bring powdered formula since it is less bulky than formula that is already mixed. Again, we didn’t bring it from home, we purchased the required formula in Florida when we bought our diapers. Keep in mind that any formula entering the ship must be sealed & in the original container.

5. Kettle – taking a kettle (with an auto shutoff) on the trip means that you can boil water and know that you have safe water to mix with the powdered formula.

6. We took a formula dispenser with us. This allowed us greater flexibility for giving our daughter her bottle. Having the dispenser meant that we filled several bottles at a time with clean water and when baby is ready to have a bottle (anywhere on the ship), we just had to pour the premeasured formula into the bottle and give the bottle a shake.

7. Not having a spot to put your dirty diapers will cause some problems with odor in your cabin on the ship. Let your room steward know that you will have some smelly diapers – he will come to your room more often to remove them. And we took with us scented bags for putting the dirty diapers. They really helped control the odors in our room, and they were also useful on our air flight. They can be purchased at a dollar store or Babies r Us.

8. Bring baby soap for your child’s bath. Our cabin did not have a bathtub and most cruise cabins won’t have one. What you can do is plug the drain on the shower and put enough water in the shower in order to give your baby their bath.

9. Sun Cabana – if your cruise is taking you to a warm climate like the Caribbean purchase a very lightweight sun cabana before your trip. You can use it when you visit the beach during the cruise. Keeps baby comfortable and protected from the sun. If you rent a cabana on the beach it will cost about $80 to $100.

10. Zip lock bags – these are great for everything – snack holders, put really dirty/soiled clothes away until you get home. Use for things that leak – (ex. medicine). Use the bags on the ship to pack bibs, spoons to go for dinner so when they are dirty you can throw in the bag & clean when you get back to your room.

There are more items to consider, but start your list with these essentials items.

Travel can be exciting and interesting, but it’s the little things that matter – like where you’re going to sleep for the night, where to eat and how to get to where you’re going. These are all concerns that travelers tend to have and choosing the right hotel is a huge factor in how much you’ll enjoy your trip to Toronto. Hotels can literally make or break your trip, whether you’re in town for business or pleasure.

Toronto hotels are many and the price ranges vary drastically, depending on what level of luxury you want. While price is not the only thing to consider when choosing a hotel, it is certainly a factor for most people. Here are some other things to think about when searching for a place to lay your head.

Location

You’ll want your hotel to be conveniently located, if possible. This makes it easier to get around. If you’re attending a conference, for example, getting a room within the same hotel is best, but anything nearby will be good, as well. Some places further off the beaten path may charge less, but remember that you’ll need to factor in transit times, car rental or taxi costs.

Service

There really is nothing worse than bad service at a hotel. When you need an extra blanket or more fresh towels, it’s important that these be provided. A good hotel will offer quality service, no matter what price range they’re in. Also take into consideration any extra features you’ll need, like room service or internet access in your room.

Size

How big are the rooms? You’ll find that some Toronto hotels are barely habitable because of the size. Unless you are really on a tight budget, there’s no need to cram into a matchbox sized room. Adjoining rooms are also a good idea if you have children, but want to keep two separate rooms.

Cost

This is part of price, but you need to look at the cost per person. Some hotels allow you to have just one or two people per bed, while others are fine if you want to cram a few more in. This all works out to a cost per person.

Upgrades

Using membership cards, either from a hotel chain or American Express can sometimes get you a nice upgrade, so check for hotels that let you do this. It will really make a difference in your trip.

Features

Are there special features you would like to have included? These might include a pool, spa, or just a nice place to sit outside and read. Different hotels have different levels of features, some might be very basic, while others will include everything from a spa to waterslides for the kids.

Choosing a hotel is a very personal choice. Your own preferences and budget will determine what sort of Toronto hotel you’ll want. If you are traveling alone, you might not need as many amenities, but with your family, you could opt for something a bit more entertaining than a plain hotel.

Toronto hotels have options for everyone. Keep in mind that hotels near major attractions will tend to be higher priced than those away from the action, but don’t forget to factor in the per person cost and transportation, as well. It might be worth getting a room nearer certain attractions if you can save on the rental car cost. With a little research, you’ll be ready to start making reservations and booking your trip.

Your first vacation with your baby can be exciting and it also takes some advanced planning to ensure its success.

by Jen Stoddart

Your first vacation with your baby can be exciting and it also takes some advanced planning to ensure its success.

Our list of 10 things to consider will help you plan a successful vacation for you, your partner and your baby.

1. Food and water. If you are going to a popular, well-developed location like Cancun, or a major European city easy access to water and food for your baby will not likely be a problem. If your vacation entails travel to remote areas, or even on a cruise make sure that you know how and where you will get water and food for your baby during the trip.

2. Be self-sufficient when it comes to medications. Bring the medications that your baby may need for fevers, upset stomach, rashes, ear infections and diarrhea.

3. Think about your accommodations more when you are traveling with a baby. When it was just the two of you traveling you probably didn’t spend much time in your room-or in your cabin if on a cruise ship. Things are different when traveling with a baby. They will be napping and they will need more time in the hotel room or cruise ship cabin. Because of this you might want to upgrade your room to one that has a balcony. The balcony gives you more room-and it also will allow you and your partner to better enjoy the extra time that you will be spending in your room.

4. Reduce your expectations. Anticipate that your vacation will not be as jammed packed as it used to be. Plan your day’s events around some time to stop and play and exercise with the baby. Identify the vacation places that each of you really want to see or visit on the trip – and then agree upfront that each of you will have times to see what they want to see while the other parents looks after your baby.

5. Guard against too much time in the stroller for the baby. Taking a comfortable stroller with you on vacation is important – just make sure that your child doesn’t sleep too much during the daytime. Many babies love to fall asleep in their stroller – which might cause them not to sleep well at night. Make sure there are plenty of opportunities during the day to take the baby out of the stroller and play with them.

6. If your trip involves flying – when possible try to take direct flights. Connecting flights are more difficult on babies.

7. If you plan on bringing a travel bed with you on your trip don’t wait for the vacation to get the baby accustomed to sleeping in it. A couple of days prior to your trip let the baby start sleeping in it to get them used to it.

8. If you are renting a car during your vacation consider bringing your own car seat. That way you will know how to install the seat in the rental car and you will know that is a safe and comfortable seat for them to ride in.

9. Vaccinations. Check with your baby’s doctor 6 to 8 weeks before the trip to ensure that your baby has all the necessary shots before they travel.

10. Check list. Write a list of the items that you will carry with you as you travel and a list of the items that you will pack for your baby to be used during the trip. Check the list a week before the trip and then check it again the day before the trip to make sure that you have everything.

Cruising makes for a great vacation, no doubt about it. Cost is reasonable and relaxation is guaranteed, but how do you decide which cruise vacation is best for you? There are hundreds of choices and many decisions to make before you can settle back with your pina colada and watch the ocean glide past.

This article will offer a broad overview of cruising, then you can go on the Web and/or call your travel agent to learn more. I’ll suggest some of the best Internet resources and websites below.

Your Biggest Decision Is…

“Destination” has got to be your first and foremost decision, right? Here are the usual cruise vacation destinations in a nutshell:

The Caribbean. Most first-cruisers go here. It’s close, plus it has a touch of the exotic and tropical. I just got back from a cruise of the western Caribbean myself. The weather was wonderful and beaches great. A negative was that some of the islands, like Dominique, were a big disappointment — not very clean, basically nothing much to see or do, very tacky. San Juan PR, however, is a terrific place to make a port of call. Mexican Riviera. This is the Caribbean for people living on the west coast. Archaelogically interesting, friendly people and great climate. Hawaii. Yes, Hawaii really is a paradise, but it’s difficult to see much of it if you go there and stay at a resort. Cruising is the best way to see Hawaii. The Mediterranean. Frankly I know little of this first-hand. Please send me some tips on this cruise via the discussion group. I plan to visit here this October (the Aegean). From guidebooks and conversations I gather that it’s extremely beautiful, clean, historical, educational and a great experience. Alaska. For those of us who read Jack London as kids, this one’s a must. Native American cultures, glaciers, mountains, maybe whales. However expect cool temperatures, even in summer.

Picking a Cruise Line

As you’ll discover, every cruise line has a unique personality. The goal is to match yours with its. I offer thumbnail impressions below, but you’ll want to research this more on your own.

- Holland America. This line is geared toward seniors. Sedate, comfortable. Everything moves at a slow steady pace on a Holland America ship at sea. Good place to do some serious reading.

- Royal Caribbean. Hotels at sea in the best sense. Tons of activities for everybody. Moderate cost. Their huge Freedom of the Seas is the world’s biggest boat. If you book this one expect lots of munchkins (i.e., kids). The ship even has a “rock climbing wall” to divert some of the kids’ energies. This is not Holland America.

- Celebrity Cruises. A good choice for most people. Big, beautiful modern megaships. Attracts mainstream passengers. Cost is about average.

- Cunard. Another luxury line, very British. I understand they still categorize most passengers according to “class” for dining purposes. This is not my cup of tea but may be yours, especially if you can afford first class.

- Princess. Another British line, and I’ve taken a cruise on their Diamond. This one’s very unstuffy, very well-run and efficient. The ships are beautiful, the dining excellent. Yet moderate cost.

- Carnival. Love Boat unleashed. This line is geared toward the pool party crowd. Discos close at 4 AM.

- Crystal. I myself can’t afford Crystal, I admit it, but if you can I can tell you the experts rave about its great facilities and service. Luxury class, high cost.

- Carnival. Love Boat unleashed. This line is geared toward the pool party crowd. Discos close at 4 AM

So What’s the Cost?

The cost may surprise you. Cruises are famously low-cost vacations. But be careful, you can end up spending a lot more than you planned if you take several tours, gamble, go shopping, etc. All those sorts of things are extra.

If you take a one-week cruise in the Caribbean or Mexican Rivera and go double occupancy, the cost will be around $900 for an inside cabin, or up to several times that for a suite with a balcony. You can take a 3-night cruise for just a few hundred dollars.

For those prices you get your accomadations, meals, entertainment, activities, onboard facilities (e.g., pools, exercise equipment), and transport to ports of call.

You don’t get travel to/from the ship, shore excursions (which can be expensive), bar drinks (usually), gambling losses, tips (though some lines add these unobtrusively onto your bill without asking you) and special services, like massages and educational courses (pottery-making, watercolors, etc.).

Plus all ships offer you innumerable opportunities to spend money onboard on merchandise and baubles.

So, as said, if you’re careful and budget your cruise vacation ahead of time, the cost is likely to be modest compared with, say, staying at a resort. But if you are enticed by the “extras,” the cruise can turn out to be quite expensive.

A Couple More Tips

Smoking is almost always prohibited except in bars and some lounges and on deck or in your cabin.

Smoking is almost always prohibited except in bars and some lounges and on deck or in your cabin.

Interested in saving money? Book slightly offseason (in the so-called “shoulder” periods, right before or after the high seasons). Here are shoulder seasons for popular destinations –

Mediterranean – April, May, September, October

Caribbean – September, early December, April-June

Caribbean – September, early December, April-June

Last word: Don’t jump too quickly to make a reservation. Spend some time on the Web before booking. Explore the websites of the cruise lines that interest you (most have outstanding sites, featuring virtual tours of all their ships). Visit some online cruise evaluation/information sites like, cruisecritic.com, or frommers.com. Then you’ll be in a much more informed position for making your choice. Remember, once you’re on the ship, there’s no way off!

An ashtray’s job or purpose is to keep the ‘ashes’ produced by your cigarette, cigar or Cuban cigar in a nicely tucked away place. Let’s face it, ashes are disgusting, especially the ones that are generated by cigarettes. That is why an ashtray is essential when enjoying a cigarette, or a Cuban cigar. See, what you have too keep an eye on is getting an ashtray that actually does the job.

So how are ashes created? Ashes are basically the residue that is left after a tobacco leaf is lit on fire and smoked. It is a natural discharge from the tobacco leaf. We in general don’t like consuming anyone’s discharge, same idea here. Ashes contain some harmful chemicals and literally taste disgusting. Don’t ask me how I found out, let’s just say when I did, it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. So keeping an ashtray on the side where smoking is highly recommended.

Considering the risks of ash that is produced by the smoke of your desire, an ashtray serves an essential purpose of keeping it in a safe temporary place. An ashtray also allows you to dispose these ashes fairly quickly by quickly dumping the ashes within into a garbage can or simply using your built in in garbage dispenser in your sink. Just don’t tell your old lady that.

Kindly note that ashes from a cigarette or cigar can be very deadly for the visual health of your current flooring and can produce a very ‘unhealthy’ smell.

Today ashtrays are produced in many different styles, shapes and colors. They also vary in price range from as low as five bucks to almost thousands of dollars. The in the thousands are obviously collector’s items, but you get the idea. Most ashtray are now made with three main types of material. Steel, glass or heat proof plastic. In most cases, a combination of these material is used too.

A nice Scotch is an essential kicker required when you are smoking a Cuban cigar. This combination is just as essential as tomato sauce on pasta. If you ever run into real cigar aficionados, you will see that they are always having their Cuban cigars with a glass of scotch quite nicely placed on the side. A popular choice (At least for me) is good old “Glenn” brand of Scotch. I’ve found that it works with literally any Cuban cigar I have.

Now would you make the mistake of just picking any random Cuban cigar with any Scotch that is out there? Absolutely not. Just like all the alcoholic beverages that are out there, Scotch also ranges in taste and appearance. Some come in big bottles some come in little ones. Some come from Europe and believe it or not, their are some that actually come from Asia. Countries like Japan and South Korea have their own versions of Scotch but I prefer Scottish ones.

Some people prefer a single malt with a cigar, while others will swear that a cognac is superior. In the end, the accompaniment should be determined only by what appeals to you. Single-malt Scotch with a cigar: the tow make a good marriage of old, traditionally made natural products derived from the bounty of the earth’s specific micro-climates. Single malts are produced throughout Scotland, from the lowlands to the upper islands in the north, but the four principal single malt regions are Isley, Skye, the Lowlands, and the Highlands.

Each single malt reflects the distinct characteristics of the region in which it is made. The peaty character and hints of caramel pronounced in some single malts go well with the earthiness and nuttiness of cigars. Rich-tasting cigars seem to go well with single malts, which share a strong earthy character in varying degrees of intensity. Aged single malts can be more caramel’ in taste and less overtly alcoholic, and a bit more elegant than their younger counterparts.

Find out the absolute best combination of Cigars and Scotch by trying them all. You will not only learn about both of these great discoveries but have the time of your life learning about it. It’s all about taking it at your own pace and enjoying every second of it. Cuban cigars with Scotch is the best thing after sliced bread. I am so glad that a person discovered this phenomenal combination
